  • Please arrive at the boat 10-15 minutes prior to the selected time slot.

    Capt. John will speak with you directly the day before your trip to discuss meeting time, target species, and to answer any questions you have.

  • We understand that things happen!

    So, in the event that you need to cancel your charter with us, we only ask that you provide us with 48-hours notice of cancellation and will provide a full refund of your deposit.

  • We fish rain or shine, however, we want everyone to be safe.

    Capt. John monitors the weather daily. In the event that he chooses to call off your charter due to poor weather or other conditions which might make your trip unsafe, we’ll do our best to reschedule your charter.

    If for travel or other reasons you are unable to reschedule with us, we’ll provide a 100% refund for any amounts previously paid.

  • Yes! All legal-sized crabs, shrimp, and fish are yours to keep.

    Captain John will also recommend some local businesses that will steam your crabs for you if needed, as well as vacuum seal and flash freeze your shrimp for the trip home if necessary.

  • Customarily, gratuities for a mate are 20%+ of the cost of your charter.

  • Nope!

    Somerset Charters has all of the licenses and permits you’ll need for your fishing charter and are included for your trip.

  • Yes. We even supply an iced-down cooler to keep your drinks chilly!

    We just ask that you drink responsibly and leave the glass containers at home.

  • The maximum number of guests is 6 (plus your Captain and mate).
